MP4, MOV, WebM, M4V, AVI and MKV. The file's extension is only a label: the audio codec inside still has to decode in your browser. If it cannot, export the soundtrack as WAV and use the audio to MIDI tool.
Drop a video and get an editable .mid from its soundtrack. The picture is ignored, the file stays on your device.
Processed on your device, no account. Only the first audio track is read. A clean melody or solo instrument converts best; a dense mix needs more cleanup.

The first conversion downloads the video decoder and note model. Progress shows processing stages, not a time estimate.

No server limit, because nothing is uploaded. The whole file is read into the browser tab and decoded there, so device memory is the real ceiling. Short clips convert fastest; very long recordings can exhaust memory and stop.
The first audio track is extracted and the video stream is discarded. On-screen notation, falling-note graphics and hand positions contribute nothing, and picture quality does not change the result.
An MP4 holds a video stream plus one or more audio tracks. MIDI holds note instructions, not sound. Converting therefore means decoding the soundtrack, estimating when each pitched note starts and ends, and writing those events into a standard .mid. Speech, applause, drums and room noise do not become useful notes.
Choose the MP4, pick a section, press Convert to MIDI. The soundtrack is decoded in your browser, notes are estimated, and you download a .mid. Nothing is uploaded.
MP4, MOV, WebM, M4V, AVI and MKV. A supported extension does not guarantee a decodable codec inside the file; when decoding fails, export the audio as WAV first.
No. Only the first audio track is read. Tutorial text, notation shown on screen and the performer's hands are all ignored.
No server limit. The practical limit is your device: the entire video is read into the tab and decoded there. Long recordings need more memory and are more likely to fail.

No. The output is one MIDI track of estimated notes. Separating instruments into their own tracks is not part of this tool.
